Heather Omlid – Heathers Ethiopian Adventure,USA,7

Welcome to my travel blog! The countdown is on, eight days till I leave for Addis Ababa Ethiopia.  For those of you wondering where is that?  I included a map because I wondered too when I first heard that was where I was going.  Today Jeremy and I spent the afternoon trying to figure out how I’m going to fit all the wonderful donations I have recieved and my clothes into two 50 pound suitcases. I’ve included some photos of all the donations.  I am amazed at the generosity of my family and friends.  This evening my friend Shannon, Jeremy and I went to dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant.  For those of  you who know me then you know how picky I am.  So I thought it would be a good idea to try it out before I got there.  We went to the Blue Nile restaurant in the International District in Seattle.  The food was good, a little spicy.  The waitress brought out the ingira (bread like stuff) that you use to scoop up your food.  I asked for a fork and she said no I’ll teach you to use ingira.  This begins my adventure!  I’ll write more before I leave.  Thanks again for your love and support!

Heather
