Hi Everyone from the happy Nomads coming to you from beautiful Arrawarra, just north of Coffs Harbour. We have experienced everything from bright sunny days to a mini tornado.  Wed been out for the day last Thursday and had stopped to get a few groceries on the way home.  There was a storm brewing and as we were in the supermarket the lights kept going on and off and by the time we got back to the car it was pouring.  On the way home there was a tree covering our side of the highway with cars crawling along in both directions.  As were got closer to home, we were worried about the awning on our van as we hadnt tied it down because there was concrete on the ground and couldnt peg it down.  We hadnt even put the anti-flappers on the awning. As we got to our van, the next-door neighbours on both sides were standing in the rain holding up our awning.  Luckily there wasnt too much damage which Wally and our neighbours were able to fix.  The next day we all went outside to help with the clean up.  This is what caravanning is all about.  You get to meet some terrific people.

On Saturday we drove up in to the Dorringo mountains just behind Coffs Harbour and had the loveliest (and cheap) lunch in a really pretty town called Bellingen.  I think I want to live there!!!  Everything is so green and lush (sorry drought stricken Victorians and Crow-eaters) After lunch we went up over the mountain which followed a lovely river running beside the road.  We went into the Dorringo National Park which is a World Heritage Park and went for bush walk where Im sure Tarzan was looming in the jungle ready to come to our rescue of we got lost. What a wonderful day we had.

Today we visited the Pet Porpoise Pool (no porpoises, only dolphins) where you can get close up and personal with the dolphins and seals and you can see in the pix we really did.  During the show, I was asked to come up to hug and kiss a seal.  He was huge and boy did he stink.

Over Easter, we stayed in Forster where we camped on the shores of Lake Wallis where we had some spectacular sunsets.  Youll see some of the photos below and some from a camel ride we did in Port Stevens that was good fun too.

I cant wait for our next stop as Sherryn, Paul, Joshua and Cassi will come down from Brisbane to join us for a few days at Hastings Point.  We can do the Poppy Wal and Nanna Von thing again, something we dont do often but really love every minute of it.  The kids are at a really good age (6&3) for a camping holiday and were booked into a kid friendly caravan park.  Watch this space for kiddy pix!!!
